Amelia D. Gonzales, 68, of Wharton, died Sunday, January 31, 2021.
She was born October 9, 1932 in Don Tol, to the late Carlos and Manuela (Barrera) Driscoll. She was a homemaker and custodian for 16 years with Texasgulf. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
Survivors: husband, Joe Gonzales; daughters, Maria “Angie” Lope of Lissie, Betty Cordoba of Brazoris, Belinda Gonzales-Garcia of El Campo, Joann Marshall and Rachel Reyna of Wharton, Shirley J Arriaga of Boling; sons, Joe Charles Gonzales, Edward Gonzales, and Joseph Gonzales, all of Wharton; sisters, Mary Rodriguez of Boling, Alice Gonzales and Carol Driscoll both of Houston; brothers, Carlos Driscoll of Houston and Fidel Driscoll of Needville; 16 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by sister; Victoria Martinez; brothers, Ishmael and David Driscoll, and her parents.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, with rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Oakley Metcalf Funeral Home.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home, with Father Jackson officiating.
