Obituary for Juanita Morado
Services for Juanita Morado, 81, of Diboll, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2021 in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Forest Haven Cemetery in Diboll.
Mrs. Morado was born February 28, 1939 in Laredo, Texas, the daughter of the late Cayetana (Gonzalez) and Gregorio Martinez. She passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Morado was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to casinos and playing Loteria.
Survivors include her sons, Arturo Morado, Jr. and wife Lucy of Diboll, Gregorio Morado, Sr. and wife Debra of Corrigan, Alberto Morado, Sr. and wife Laura of Diboll and Francisco Morado and wife Cindy of Diboll; daughters, Juanita Garcia of Diboll, Rebecca Luna of Lufkin, Norma Martinez and husband Erubel of Corrigan, Rachel Hernandez and husband Humberto of Lufkin, Esmeralda Escobedo of Central and Rosa Garcia and husband Roy of Hudson; brother, Francisco Martinez of California; sisters, Esperanza Ayala of Laredo, Julia Landeros and husband Pedro of Colorado and Maria Moreno of San Antonio; 42 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; and a number of other family members.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morado was preceded in death by her brothers, Anastacio Martinez and Frederico Martinez; and great-grandson, Jonathan Fuentes Garcia, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Services have been placed in the trust of Oakley-Metcalf Funeral home.
