Obituary for Laura Morado

Mass of Christian Burial for Laura Morado, 47, of Diboll, will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, with Reverend Timothy Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Haven Cemetery in Diboll.
Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Friday evening at the Diboll Civic Center, with the family receiving friends and loved ones from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Laura was born June 11, 1973 in Lufkin, Texas and passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in a Lufkin hospital.
Laura was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was a long-time teacher for Lufkin ISD and Diboll ISD. She loved teaching, karaoke, Loteria and casinos. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially riding in the side-by-side. She loved being with her family, her boys and cooking. She was the “hostess with the mostest”.
Survivors include her husband, Alberto Morado, Sr.; daughter, Sarah Morado; son, Alberto Morado, Jr.; grandpups, Peanut Morado and Jax Morado; father, Martin Perez; mother, Lupe Perez; brothers, Marcos Perez and wife Anita and Adrian Perez and wife Stacey; sister, Monica Perez; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Laura was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Services have been placed in the trust of Oakley-Metcalf Funeral home.
